Every happy, healthy visit starts with good preparation. Here’s what to expect and how to get ready for your pet’s services with us. These guidelines ensure a safe, stress-free experience for you, your pet, and our team.
Appointment Day Guidelines

Grooming
✂️ Mobile Grooming – In-Home
To help us care for your pet comfortably inside your home:
Be present for handoff and return (especially for special-needs pets).
Administer medications at least 30 minutes before the appointment.
Provide a safe, quiet space for grooming (bathroom, laundry room, etc.).
Ensure your pet has had a potty break and/or feeding before the session.
🚐 Mobile Grooming – Van
For appointments in our mobile grooming van:
Be available ±30 minutes around your scheduled time.
Provide driveway/nearby parking with safe access.
Be present for handoff and return (unless you’ve arranged contactless care).
After the first groom, we offer contactless transitions with your permission (using a key, garage code, or method you provide).

Boarding
🏡 Boarding Preparation
Help us make your pet’s stay as comfortable as possible:
Bring enough food for the entire stay, pre-portioned if possible.
Label medications clearly with dosage instructions.
Share updated routines or comfort items (toys, blankets, bedding).
Ensure vaccinations are current and all health concerns disclosed.
Provide emergency contact information in case we need to reach you.
🐕 Daycare Preparation
Set your pup up for a great day of play:
Drop off and pick up within scheduled hours.
Pack meals or snacks if needed during their stay.
Disclose any behavioral concerns (anxiety, reactivity, special handling needs) ahead of time.
Ensure your dog is healthy and parasite-free before attending.
Label personal belongings (leash, harness, etc.) to avoid mix-ups.

Wellness
💻 Online Consultation Prep
Make the most of your virtual wellness session:
Complete your wellness intake form before the meeting.
Have records ready (diet notes, supplements, vet reports, medical history).
Choose a quiet, distraction-free space with reliable internet.
Be prepared to share your goals, concerns, and questions openly.
🤝 In-Person Consultation Prep
Set yourself up for a smooth visit:
Bring supplements, diet samples, or veterinary records that support your consultation.
Share detailed daily routines: feeding, medications, exercise, and care practices.
Allow a little extra time for discussion and hands-on assessment.
Remember: our services complement veterinary care, but do not replace it.

Our Policy Overview

Beyond Grooming
No-Show: Missed appointments billed in full; 2+ no-shows may pause future bookings.
Rescheduling: 48-hour notice required for grooming changes.
Arrival: Pets leashed & ready; mobile service requires nearby parking.
Safety & Wellness:
Clients accept Terms of Service by booking.
Pets must be healthy at appointment; contagious pets may be rescheduled.
Disclose behavior issues up front. Undisclosed risks may result in reschedule + full charge.

Beyond Boarding
Zero Refunds: Boarding fees are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled once booked.
Health: Pets must arrive free of illness/injury; we may refuse or reschedule for safety.
Community Care: Group play is supervised but carries small risks (scratches, play injuries). By booking, clients accept these risks under our Terms of Service.

Beyond Daycare
Booking: Advance reservations required; last-minute calls considered. Rescheduling needs 72-hour notice.
Attendance: Drop-off/pick-up must be on time; late pick-ups may incur fees.
Health: Signed Terms required. Pets must arrive healthy; illness or parasites may result in removal and added fees.
Behavior: Pets must be safe in group play. Aggression or unsafe behavior may lead to removal with fees still due.

Beyond Wellness
Booking: Advance booking required; reschedules need 48-hour notice. Late changes may incur an admin fee.
Agreements: Clients must sign the Hello Huckleberry Wellness Agreement and fully disclose medical history, treatments, diet, and behaviors.
Service Limitations: Wellness services complement but do not replace veterinary care. Some tools (e.g., sensitivity screens, biofeedback) provide guidance, not guarantees.
